Over the last few weeks the first round of the Red Bull Thre3style battle took place in various cities across the US. I know a DJ or 2 in each city and I have to say that there is some serious talent in the competition this year. In the Philly regional back on January 30th, my bro Patrice McBride executed his set with precision. He put together a masterpiece where he used the music to do the talking. He won runner-up and made a mix that I will listen to for years to come, check it:

Representing for Las Vegas in the Phoenix regional was Blaze or VJ Blaze as I know him. I saw him do his thing a few years ago here in Sin City at the first ever Video DJ Battle which he was the runner-up in. His set in the Thre3style this year covered all styles of music and ended with a drum solo, check it out:
